Course Objectives
- To develop the ability to teach the theory and practice of Cosmetology or Esthetics
- To use various teaching aids, such as textbooks, workbooks, audio-visual aids, tests, etc. to best advantage in the classroom
- To provide information about specific teaching techniques to be used by the cosmetology or esthetics teacher in the classroom
- To understand the principles of psychology as applied to teaching to develop the qualities necessary to teaching excellence
- To develop professional competency as a teacher and develop those personal characteristics that contribute to success in teaching
Criteria
Students must be 18 years of age or older, possess a high school diploma or 12 grade equivalency (GED), and must have a current cosmetology or esthetician license.
