Cosmetology Course

About Our Cosmetology Course

1250 Clock Hours

The Cosmetology course helps to provide our students with a full comprehensive study of hair, skin and nails. The course objectives are as follows:


  • To develop knowledge, understanding, skill and appreciation in the theory and operations of cosmetology 
  • To develop habits of good workmanship and the orderly performance of various tasks in the cosmetology profession 
  • To develop habits of doing things properly in the interest of safety and hygiene for one's self and others 
  • To learn to select wisely, care for, and use properly commercial products that are related to the application of treatments in cosmetology 
  • To impart ideals and attitudes of willingness to cooperate between employer and employees 
  • To foster an appreciation of the contribution of science to progress cosmetology 
  • To help the student prepare for the State Board Examinations in order to obtain a license to practice cosmetology 
  • To develop professional ethics worthy of public confidence, acceptance and respect 
  • To successfully complete 1250 hours of training with a passing GPA 

Criteria for taking this course is as follows:
Student must be at least 16 years of age, possess a high school diploma or G.E.D., agree to abide by the professional code of ethics, and be able to adhere to all school policies, rules and regulations set by the Lansdale School of Cosmetology.

9:00 AM to 3:30 PM


Part Time Day: 

Monday through Friday (13 months)

9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
