About Our Esthetics Course

300 Clock Hours

The Esthetician course is a comprehensive study in the care of the skin and Make-up Artistry. The course is designed to educate students in the practical sense as well as provide a well-rounded knowledge of the theory behind the practical procedures. The student will learn the following:


  • Microdermabrasion
  • The history of skin care and cosmetics
  • The importance of personal hygiene and public sanitation 
  • Image for the professional esthetician and professional ethics 
  • Structure and function of the skin 
  • Anatomy and Chemistry 
  • Electricity and Light Therapy 
  • Manual facials and machine facials 
  • Full client consultations 
  • Skin analysis procedures 
  • Waxing
  • Paraffin Wax Therapy
  • Intro to Aromatherapy
  • Intro to Reflexology 
  • Make-up techniques such as:
                - Analysis of facial structure
                - Color harmony and facial balance application
                  of make-up for daytime and evening wear
                - Corrective and Fantasy make-up 

Criteria for taking this course is as follows:
Student must be at least 16 years of age, possess a high school diploma or G.E.D., agree to abide by the professional code of ethics, and be able to adhere to all school policies, rules and regulations set by the Lansdale School of Cosmetology.
